Motorcyclists

Im sick and tired of hearing about motorcyclists winging they don’t get a fair go on the roads.

Maybe there right, maybe we don’t consider them enough, maybe popping wheel stands, driving at excessive speeds, making 4th and 5th lanes at traffic lights, and making massive amounts of noise at 4am in SUBURBAN ROADS is acceptable.

my hero!

Okay the jokes over,

yes bikes are often harder to see and I agree with road safety advertisements that point this out to the public, however if the biker wasnt doing 100kph in a 50 zone then maybe they wouldn’t find themselves getting pulled out on.

Example:
A few months ago after work I was leaving the car park, depending on where you are heading this may require you to cross three lanes of one way traffic. A colleague was in front waiting to cross I was behind her and could see the road to our right (direction of traffic) it was clear except for a bike that just turned into the street about 200m away.
My colleague took off, if the bike was doing 60kph I would have made it across as well, The biker obviously feeling the need to break laws decided to come onto the throttle, I could hear it from my car. Obviously not paying attention to the fact that ahead of him my colleague was crossing, in the 5 seconds it took her to get the car moving and cross three lanes, the biker had travelled 200 metres and come to a complete stop to avoid ending up in her lap. I would have judged his speed at being well over 100kph. (in a 50 kph zone)

Nice story your thinking, well it doesn’t end there, He races off after shaking his fists at her car and when we have to stop at the next set of traffic lights he is there waiting, (after having done a block of town and we have moved 300 metres, just to give you an idea of this guys disregard for speed laws).
He is on the wrong side of the road between our two cars (we are turning in different directions) banging on her window and yelling abuse, I of course shared a few choice words on the matter with him as well. JERK!

I would also like to quickly thank the bloke who lives up the road and drives past my house every night in the early hours at full noise at what must be over a 100kph (50 zone) your wake up calls are awesome.

The problem is they think that the toy run (excuse to drink drive) once a year excuses them from being law abiding citizens, Its about time motorcyclists were properly monitored even if it includes restrictions to engine sizes.

All these motorcycle accidents pushing up our MAIB premiums (car rego’s) you have to ask yourself was it because the guy in the car didn’t look, or is it because the guy on the bike was being AN IDIOT!

My apologies to the few mates I have who ride bikes, Im sure your behaviours aren’t this ignorant and disregarding.

Most bikers are ignorant and rude
