Ticketmaster Suck.

This sent to Ticketmaster 6:55pm 2/6/06.
Just me whinging again to a major company who cant get it right!

I am absolutely disgusted in the manner in which the PULSE / TICKETMASTER ADVANCED pre sale by INTERNET only of Robbie Williams tickets has been handled.
I sat at my computer from 2pm today until after 3:30pm trying to purchase tickets to the concert at Subiaco. I am in Hobart and when I read that it went on sale at 12noon local time, I assumed that meant the Subiaco Concert was on sale from 12noon Perth time, being 2 oclock in Hobart.

I would estimate that I refreshed my screen over 1000 times.
On a few occasions the page would start to load rather than giving me the busy screen, after 10 to 15 minutes of trying to load I would get a page cannot be connected screen.
I had to return to work at 3:30pm I have since made it home at 6:15 to discover that the pre sale tickets are ALL GONE. And I am bloody furious.

The fact you don’t have enough bandwidth to handle a web only sale is poor in itself, my partner at one stage did try to ring only to find out that the lines were all busy and an engaged signal was all that could be heard, so that begs the question to me as to whether tickets were actually being sold over the phone and not solely on the internet as advertised?

I have also noticed that you released tickets to the ashes test’s yesterday and have had pearl jam tickets on sale for some venues within the last week.
At what point did you think the server was going to handle the traffic?
I can tell you from past experiences in trying to order tickets from your site it was never going to handle it, It’s a hopeless site at the best of times, full of lengthy waits and incorrect information. Try and find a seating chart for the DEC in Glenorchy under basketball mode and not concert mode for example…… Good luck!

What makes me the angriest is the fact I have had to play a luck game, my mouse click against everybody elses, the fact I had sat here for 90 minutes and the fact somebody else might have been lucky first go infuriates me and goes to show exactly how unfair this has been. Also the fact that on numerous occasions the site allowed me to progress past the “sorry busy screen” but because of lack of site speed only go onto time out.
Considering I have a 256 broadband connection it doesn’t say a lot for the condition of the site.

I request that you answer a few of my questions, it’s the least you can do.
A. How many seats are available for the Subiaco event in total?
B. How many of those are reserved seating gold as opposed to general?
C. What is the break down (number) of tickets made available for each section during the pre sale?
D. When the ticket sale began today was more bandwidth allocated to allow more people to purchase Robbie tickets say over the pearl jam tickets or ashes tests?
E. Did you honestly think it was going to take 36 hours to sell the tickets?
F. Are you going to apologise and compensate me when I have to go through the same process next week in the public sale to only miss out again?

I would appreciate a prompt reply please, before the public sale next week beginning Wednesday 7th June.

Extremely disappointed customer
