A quieter day on the olympic front. A few things ive noticed are starting to become apparent.
1. The Aussie Boomers are crap!
2. Geevas Aussie Choker idea isnt as bad as you first thought!
3. If your not Chinese forget winning anything that involves officials decisions.
4. Australia cant win a gold that isnt a womens swimming event.
5. The barstool award has plenty of daily contenders.


THE DAILY BARSTOOL
The Barstool always seems to put forward a few candidates.
Up for consideration today are;
Russell Mark for bagging a referee after getting a sound beating,
Michael Phelps for being Michael Phelps
The Chinese Gymnastics team for clearly having underage competitors (see pic below)
The whole of Denmark for being sooks - Mary is Australian afterall.

But Todays Barstool goes to somebody who commited a far more disgraceful act, This person told a 9 year old that they were too ugly to perform during the opening ceremony. This is a pathetic act, if not for the fact it goes against everything the olympics stands for (or used to) then on a human rights basis. If I was the little girl who was booted and had my voice used I would move to the Land of the Lawsuit, hire a kick butt Yankee lawyer and take the Communist Party for a nice little payout.
So Todays Barstool is awarded to the whole of the Chinese Communist Party, paticularly the "high up official" who ordered the switch and the lip synch take place.

The Better looking child chosen to be on display for China in the opening ceremony, her father says she is a singing superstar - Geeva says "yeah sure, and so is Ashley Simpson."

The 9 year old told she is too ugly?? to appear in the opening ceremony. She is 9, and good on you for China for being so pathetic. I hope this young lady sues.
CHANNEL 7

Is it just me or has the Olympic telecast set a new world record in being the shittiest ever?
SBS is to be commended for their efforts, they have been left the dregs by channel 7 and they have done well with it. Channel 7 though has provided nothing as yet. Delayed footage well into the evening because they have to catch up from the News and Today Tonight, god forbid the timing of these was moved to a more suitable timeframe for a few weeks. 6 to 7 represents 4 to 5 in China and a time when there is usually a fair bit of activity. Why have Today Tonight still on anyway? So we can listen to Stephanie Rices grandfather money grab? what a stupid old man. Today Tonight has always been a shit program and will continue to be into the forseable future.

Right now it is 845 pm and im watching another replay of wanker phelps winning another event, surely there is something live on, dont care if its brazil v tunisia in table tennis (doubtful but funny to see) get over Michael {helps and swimming replays its not the only bloody event.

The fact they have not utilised HD and SD as seperate channels is also baffling, why not run them seperately that way they wouldnt have to cut their olympic programming for AFL commitments, either that or allow 10 to handle the footy for awhile, either way they are not doing themselves any favours and I can only hope that SBS beat them for the sports broadcasting logie.

Geeva misses the 2000 broadcast by Austar, Plenty of choice and plenty of team sports!
